Our campsite on the banks of the Darling
was what the Outback is all about with those majestic river gums hundreds of
years old. The 'mud map' drive through the property was a wonderful
way to visit a working property without getting in the way and to see the
relics of the past allowed us to appreciate the past glory of an incredible
station the pioneers built.
As for the abandoned homestead it is a
remarkable step back in time to the 60s and a true insight into how people
actually lived without the 'museum' feeling Our imaginations ran wild.
We hope it remains in good condition as its rarity grows every day.
Thank you for your hospitality and a look

After three visits in three consecutive years,
we just love returning to Trilby during our Outback NSW forays, as we can enjoy
a tranquil, private campsite by the magic Darling River but also enjoy the
wonders of Trilby Station and the hospitality of the Murray family. We are
fascinated by the historic remnants of the old homesteads, both on the river and
at the north end of this vast property. The mudmap tour is well worth doing,
giving a wonderful insight into the expanse and natural characteristics of
Trilby. I delight in the photographic and wildlife opportunities and now have my
photos included in the updated 'tour guide' produced by Liz. Hope to be
there again before too long......

Hello
we, my girlfriend Britta and I, have stayed at the station in November 03 for only 2 days,we loved too stay longer, and it can be said that these days were one of the greatest days in our life - just perfect. So what is really special about Trilby? Besides the beauty of the country and the abundance of wildlife in this area, the people make the difference. The members of the Murray family are so friendly, in particular Liz and Gary, and
additionally all the characters living in Louth province are lovely and unique. If you are there ask the local who was Mary Devine and check out the pub in Louth. ( Drink Driving !?)
We strongly recommend to stay a few days in Trilby, Outback NSW - simple Australia as its Best

In August 2003 we were travelling through Australia: 4 people from Germany and 1 Person from France - in 2 single engine airplanes. After many cross country flights throughout Australia - east coast, the outback and Alices Springs with Ayers Rock and the Olgas of course - our last stop before flying back to Bankstown(Sydney) was at Louth with the Murray Family waiting for us at the airfield. Absolutely charming. We had such a very nice time at their farm and would have liked to see more of their farmland. What an experience! But unfortunately we had to take off the next day rather soon. Whenever we have the opportunity and the chance to come back - by car or again by plane - we certainly will stay with you, Gary and Liz Murray, and - of course your charming kids - but maybe more than one overnight.
Best regards Barbara Friedenberg

We as two families had a fantastic and relaxing time. The kids had plenty of space to run and the parents had plenty of space to hide. Nothing was a problem for Liz and Gary. The cottages are well appointed, although we took the
opportunity to cook on the open fire in camp ovens something us city people don't experience very often. With a glass or stubbie in hand with the red sunset and the aroma of a roast in the camp oven who could ask for a better setting. Thanks Liz and Gary See you again soon.
